A foreigner in the eyes of Chinese crane industry: Chinese dragon head forward

2007 Will North first time to visit China Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition (BICES), few manufacturers concerned about the market outside China. Will North encounter few Westerners  hoist gantry crane  on display at the exhibition are cast suspicion.

2011, according to Stuart Anderson reports, China's users are likely to buy 2000 crawler crane, tonnage in the range of 50 ~ 250t.
Will North visit BICES, manufacturers have focused their attention on the tonnage of the range of products, but only in the domestic market or the emerging markets. Now, many Chinese manufacturers began to manufacture large tonnage crawler cranes, eyes aimed at international users.
Several of China's largest manufacturers spent years developing super crawler crane, its starting weight at least for Germany and the U.S. competitors. Although this process was not always smooth, but China's ambitions all too clear.
This is what it means for the global market? Hard to imagine Chinese  overhead gantry crane  manufacturer in the near future will dominate many market segments. Those who are not dominant in the market that they will play a more important role on the cost foreign manufacturers are unable to compete with Chinese rivals. The two sides will seek joint ventures and foreign investment in a new plant in order to price around the world increasingly sensitive users with inexpensive cranes.
